This is something I recently did in my oil painting class. Mind you, this is in acrylics. Don't ask, but my teacher didn't really apporve of actually using oil paint, but rather, different media. I saw an image of Lotus, and decided to mimic it through this piece. I first got cold pressed board, and then drew the image of the car. Afterwards, I got an over-all gradient of the car, and then just painted the car. Aftet that, the image looked like it could use some more design, so I added some of my own design elements around the enitre image. Mind you the reason why the top left hand corner of the piece isn't filled with design is because that is the light sorce of the image. At first I attempted to make it photo realism, but I realized that it looked less and less like a Lotus and more like a mid-ninties Porshe, lol! *For the designs, around the image, I used illustration pen.
